I Haven't seen one of these RPD's since my Vietnam days, and when i found out that parts kits were avilable, i just had to have one, i also found out that there is a group buy and another forum for a 80% internally finished receiver, i just received my kit and i can't believe its virtually brand new all numbers matching, fires 7.62x39, and is BELTFED, so i figure it will cost me about $750 between the parts kit and the semi auto receiver, and need some mods to the FCG , so maybe around $1000, i can have a piece of history, and a nice beltfed.... THe picture of the kit is mine, the whole rifle is not mine i just wanted to show what it liiks like to those who haven't ever seen one....

And yes it comes with the drum and 100 links and the feeding tray, and the bipod.....:D

Man, that's sweet. A friend of mine has one of the Vector RPD's and it's like a walk through time - the gun was brand spanking new. I lit up two drums and the RPD didn't miss a beat. Congrats on your find and your skill to build one - can't wait to see the finished product...:cool:

Thanks Mark, i should clarify that the kits are available from at least 3 dealers and run from $399 to $470, or you can buy one of the Vectors for $2K... I like the challenge of building one, and i thought i'd mention it here, since some of the best minds frequent here, and thought they would like something a little "out of the box"....:cool:

If you like i will post the build as i complete it, the receiver should be here by the end of june, i have to contour the outside, convert it from open bolt to closed bolt, and a few other mods... There are others doing this so i won't be alone and we can put our heads together...
