Hey,

I want to send my winchester off to get restocked a bit shorter and a better trigger. Any suggestions?

Any reputable general 'smith should be able to do that unless there is something special you want. Surely there is one near you. Even got one near me and I live in 'outback' TX.

Short Action Customs and Longrifles INC as well. Ask SAC about having a FN trigger lying about, super easy to adjust. Maybe order up a Manners to your length of pull and in the lightweight EH series.

Try Joe Barnsfather at Superior Firearms. He is a member here and, in my experience, does great work. He worked on my Marlin but Im sure he could fix up your Winchester.

I'll second both Joe Barnsfather and also Hill Country Rifles. Hill Country rebarreled, restocked my Remington 700 and replaced the trigger with a Jewel trigger and did a great job!!

Ask around as to who LIKES TO AND HAS worked on the Winchesters/FN's. Not, "I can do it"
