Leaving Aimpoint T1 on 24-7 do any harm other than drain battery?

I leave my Aimpoints on. I started to wonder if leaving them on is stupid and other internals get stressed by leaving them on 24-7?

Anyone know the company line or some feedback on this?

I bought a T1 from TNVC in early 2011. I've literally never turned it off and I've never changed the battery. I haven't paid attention to what setting I leave it on. It was still on a few days ago. I'm curious how much longer is left.

I didn't buy my Aimpoint Micros for their always-on battery life only to not use the feature. I leave mine on.

These things are expensive for a reason! Leave it on and take advantage of the advantage...
