Has any one dealt with Ranger Joes's before? They had the Aimpoint T-1 for a low price.

I emailed Aimpoint about it and they have not yet responded. So after checking the ad again, I decided to try it. Hopefully, I will not be burned too bad, but it seems that they do sale Aimpoints in general. The rest of the Aimpoint prices seem normal.

Holy crap that's a good price! I haven't seen anything close to that price on a T-1. If I was in your position I would be asking the same question and would be just as skeptical.
Let us know if everything works out. Especially things like delivery time and customer service. I'm sure all the members on here would like to know.

I called them at their 800 number to confirm. She stated the listed MSRP. I said that your MSRP is crossed out and a new price in red. She said that's a sale price, then.
It is confirmed - I went ahead and ordered one.

That's what I'm worried about. Someone please advise if they receive a legit $300 T-1. It's not like anyone is having trouble selling them for $500+.

I picked up this slightly used T-1 for $475 Monday and thought I scored a great deal, but $300-ish is an awesome deal :D

I had the young lady that took my phone order confirm

She probably can't keep up. I don't think they'll last another hour. ;) I almost ordered two also, but I'm still a little skeptical.
Well this is interesting to say the least. We are an Aimpoint QTY Buyer (the biggest account Aimpoint has). These prices are several HUNDRED dollars below my cost! So these are either hot, fakes or someone has no idea what they just did.

A buddy of mine got the last one in stock, he was told that they would honor the sales price on back-orders.
I was told they would not be selling them anymore.

I don't think so. I think that is VERY far out. Like, probably not even by SHOT '09. As I understand it the "projector" in the T-1 and H-1 is actually the projector from the larger 2 MOA optics which is why the dot in the Micro is really something more like 3.5 MOA.
I think what we'll see, perhaps at SHOT '09 and maybe even before, is a slightly elongated front and rear for flip caps and a matte finish on the H-1 to match the T-1.
Maybe the 2 MOA dot is about to hit the market ...

Just to add my two cents, Ranger Joe's has been around for at least 10 years, and was a popular mail order firm when I was in the Army for field gear. So this is a reputable company. I've ordered from them many times in the past and never had a problem. That said, I'm as curious as everyone else as to whether or not this was a mistake, considering how good this deal is.

I ordered one at about 9:00 am (est) today. I just received a call that they were all sold in one phone order. :mad: Something isn't right with this whole deal.

That was my thought (someone made a big error in pricing).
For anyone interested, I have H-1's and T-1's in stock and will give you the best price I can on them.

While I was placing the order I called and spoke to them. I specifically told them that the price was ~$300 below retail and asked them if that was correct. The lady assured me that it was the correct price and that there were 7 currently in stock. Interestingly, during the cancellation call, she told me someone came in with an order after mine and "bought all of them." ??? :confused: I'm guessing that Aimpoint stepped in and shut it down or someone realized a big price mistake.

I called about 1035 EDT and asked if any were still in stock at that price. The phone rep said she believed they were all sold out, but they might have just one left. "I'LL TAKE IT!" Lemme check to be sure, hold on ... nope, somebody bought them all up. Hey, if I'd had a few thousand bucks to spare, I might well have done the same. I could use three T-1s right now.
I would agree with the educated guesses that the too-good-to-be-true price was a massive goof. No reason to assign any skulduggery to them without further evidence.

Honestly I've never had good luck with Ranger Joes. Doesn't surprise me at all that some stupid crap like this happened. Too bad though, even though I just dropped a lot of coin on my TA33-8 I would have bought a T1 at that price.

If it is true that one person cleaned them out it wouldn't surprise me a bit if it was a dealer.
Either that or keep an eye on TOS for somebody selling them at $400/ea.

My CC company confirmed that they approved a charge to Ranger Joe's today ... the amount is a match.
I am sorry, but I have to laugh. I kicked myself in the ass all day thinking that I missed out on a $300 T-1. My original suspicion was vindicated. I feel better now. Seriously, that sucks for those that did order.
1220571 was my order number, at the time they said there were some left.
I suspect they realize thier typo now and are just saying they are out to minimize thier losses.
Might craft an email to them asking them to honor thier advertised price that they also confirmed over the phone.
I'm going to wait & see, I should know if they made good on our deal by Thursday.

To my knowlage from working in retail in the past, when something like this happens they are only required by law to sell 1 item at the price listed, wrong or not. I think H2O MAN may be that 1 :rolleyes: but i could be wrong:eek:

Main reason I refuse to do business with them. I have seen them screw over soldiers so many times it's not funny. Yet another company that "supports the troops", when they are really in it for a buck and thats it. Screw them.

While it is very possible they were all sold out at that kind of price, the above is total lie. T1 was not discontinued. Watch it pop up there soon with a different internsl RJ sku

I ordered with a mag pouch, they didn't call or email me, just ship the mag pouch with shipping cost and charge me for that without mentioning the Aimpoint, and marked the transaction complete. Pretty shitty company.
