Just finished my 16" ESEE Junglas project. I modified the Micarta grips with a texture to reduce the overall diameter of the handle and provide a better grip. After that I refinished the edge to an almost mirror finish using my "Wicked Edge" sharpening system and wrapped the sheath in para-cord. Just in time for my trip to the Boundary Waters.

Sir,
Nice, thanks for the pics.
Did it come from the factory with the scout sniper/logo?

Thanks gents. Yeah she's brand new. I had the engravings done when I first purchased it. It didn't come with it.

What is the "wicked edge" sharpening system of which you speak? Looks like it created a nice edge.

For the grips: I took the grips off of the knife and clamped them to my work bench. Before that I made some index marks while they were still on the knife so both grips were close to matching. I did one at a time, and it took about 1.25 hrs.

As far as the "Wicked Edge" goes it is a precision sharpening system. It is by far the best knife sharpener I have ever owned or even used...absolutely love it. A bit pricey, but buy once cry once...ya' know?

I have been looking into the wicked edge system. What kit did you purchase, or did you piece it together? If you don't mind me asking. Im just trying to find out what is a good set up. The one I was looking at was 700 I believe. It had virtually everything you could want. Im just thinking that size of package might be more than I need.

Thank you for any info you can pass along. Btw those grips look amazing, you can see there is a lot of effort put into those grips.

I love my Junglas. I've chopped just about everything in a backcountry
camping/survival trip application with it. It's a fantastic chopper and
batoning tool. I just strap it to the side of Rush 72 and I'm gtg.
