I have one on one of my 870s. Works like a charm and is exceptionally well made. I paid $53 and i think it is worth it. It is actually on an express with a tac star extention tube and fit is perfect.

what is the purpose for mounting a bayonet to a shotgun?

Some of us aren't as good a shot as others might be. Fix bayonets and charge.

crowd control

One man "crowd control" with a bayonet...

Simple GENIUS.

Now if they could just make a 37mm M203 copy that could mount on a shotgun.

crowd control

Are you being serious? Or is this marketed toward the Myanmar Junta style of crowd control?

It's real purpose is that it is a very high quality mag tube clamp. Solid machined steel, fits like a glove. The bayonet lug is just icing on the cake. :D

So you don't shoot more holes in the porch when you catch a possum or raccoon eating your cats' food.

So has anyone tried their pistol grip / tele-stock adaptor with the long rail?

I just ROFL'd! Seriously, when they are in the yard shoot them, if on the deck, beat them with a baton. Buddy of mine tool on a possum with an ASP on the third floor balcony of their apartment to the curious amazement of a bunch of drunk neighbors on a warm summer night... classic.
