I started out with just an old 28 and spent the time and money to bring it back to life.

1. Gold bead front sight cut the gun to install that sight
2. VZ grips
3. Charcoal blue and all the body work for that level finish
4. Action work
5. Cut the hammer to as small footprint that will work
6. Trigger re shape
7. Stratton the ejector rod
8. The work is not all on the list it hard to take the time and put it all down.

Hmmm...looks good from here but I think I'll need to do a very lengthy review and get back to you on it. When can you send it out?

:)

I've got a soft spot for the Model 28, that one right there is a superlative example. It has some modern upgrades but hasn't strayed too far from it's original form, nice work.

Hopefully you realized I was expressing my strong appreciation for your good work. Have a special fondness for them and that one is extra nice, as I'd suspect you know since you put the time in.

Looking Good Mr. Smith ! I cannot wait to take it home as it has been missed. There is plenty of .38 and .357 ammunition waiting for it. Time to gas it up and burn it down.

This is very cool. Is it safe to assume you did all the work in house? What type of action work did you do?

Mr. Smith

I do a lot of revolver work.
Revolvers at the level of this one are not that common as in the time spent on body work and sight work.

The action is et at 8.5lbs double action and 2lbs single action.

Hope I answered your question.

It did, thanks! i really like the finish. giving new life to classic guns like this is great. just because they are old, does not mean the are obsolete! I would love to shoot your trigger work back to back with one of my Colt snakes or S&W PC guns. I wouldnt really care who had the better trigger, it would be a great excuse to have a hell of a range day! :)

Generally speaking factory guns are set a bit heavy on the trigger but that is just part of the story.

Thanks

Nice job!
I really like that. I want another 28, but everytime I find one, it's a mess, or, more often, I don't have the cash on hand to jump on it. My old 28 had an action job and target hammer and trigger. Great gun, mechinically, but cosmetically, it was "challenged" with a lot of holster wear. I regretted selling it almost as soon as I was handed the cash for it.

I can help bring one back from the dead if you fined one.
Just let me know I do it a lot around the shop.

That Bad Larry could go back into the holster and out on road patrol again.

I'm digging those VZs for square butts. They appear to be slightly lower profile (less stickout below the bottom of the frame) than Ahrends (my current favorites).

I do wish VZ would make their RB grips without grooves.

You sir, are a craftsman.

Thank you guys
I would like VZ rb grips with no finger grooves as well I talked with John about that.
The tale of the tape on the grips at this point I am glad to have VZ grips doing them at all.
John at VZ is a great guy and good friend in the end I think if there is a strong market for no grooves we will see them.
