I have to admit that since joining this board I have been a total leach. I take and take all the collective knowledge offered while offering almost nothing useful in return. I am hoping that with this small review I can maybe give something back to the community that has given me so much.
I apologize in advance for the crappy pictures. I am not a very good photographer…
This review is for the ZeroBravo KeyMod handstop. This is their website: http://zerobravo.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=1&idcategory=2
And the specs from their site:
Height: 1.075 in (2.73 cm)
Width: 0.7 in (1.78 cm)
Length: 0.85 in (2.16 cm)
Weight: 0.7 oz (19.8 g)

I forgot to take a picture of the packaging. It’s just a simple blister pack with the mounting instructions on the back. Basically loosen, mount and tighten.
I bought this particular one here: http://hamlundtactical.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&zenid=38d567c98112d0fae49d992333e2dabb&keyword=zerobravo&x=0&y=0
I paid for it myself. I have no affiliation with either the manufacturer or the vendor I bought it from.
The backstory is that I have pretty much always used a handstop on my AR’s. It’s just what I’m used to. My latest handstop was the KAC handstop/QG sling attachment combo. However, they only make it in picatinny and I have no idea if they will ever make a KeyMod version.
I tried this IWC Mount-N-Slot: http://www.impactweaponscomponents.com/product/weapon-control-mount-n-slot-keymod-hand-stop/ but was not happy with the “step” before the handstop. I prefer feeling the rail directly above my index finger.
So on to the review!
It’s a very well made piece of kit. It’s made of 6061 aluminum with very fine machining and no sharp points. It has a beefy indexing tab machined into the top.

Simply put, when you mount this thing there is absolutely no wiggling. It’s solid! I have it mounted on a 10” BCM KeyMod rail on the second slot from the muzzle. This is just the comfort zone for me.

ZeroBravo’s claim to fame is the ability to mount it anywhere on the rail and position it with the curve towards the receiver or towards the muzzle and this feature works very well. You have the choice of having the finger groove towards the receiver or muzzle, giving you lots of flexibility.
I tested out the reverse mounting feature on BMC as well as a PWS KeyMod rails and it worked just as described.
Also (this is nothing more than an annoyance), it uses a 3/32” hex key, not the standard (?) 5/64” I’ve seen on pretty much every other KeyMod accessory. Not terrible, but it’s just one more thing you need to throw (and then find) in the range bag. Additionally, they do not ship this with a hex key. Again, not a huge deal, but on a $40 piece of hardware it would have been nice.
All in all, it’s a nice handstop and I am pretty pleased with it. It’s nice for those looking for a simple, minimal handstop with a decent surface area. I feel that it's probably the best option currently available. I will continue using it until I lose it or find something better.
Thank you for reading through all this! I hope it’s useful!
