Anyone know the difference between the Green painted RSA that comes with the M&P 40/357 and the and the Blue painted RSA that comes with the 9mm? Also why the Blue one is the only replacement for both 40 and 9mm?

Tension. I only run the Green in my FS 5" 9mm pistols. Per S&W, you can run the green one in your 9mm.

Customer service seems unwilling to part with the green ones as replacements. Good to know you have them. Would it be correct to imagine that the blue ones would insure more reliability in a 40-9mm conversion setup?

The blue is just fine, but as I said, I only run the green one now.

How much of a change is there in recoil characteristics with the green? I changed my blue one out at 4K rounds when I started detecting vertical stringing.

Not very noticeable at all except that the brass ejection pattern is more consistent with light loads. Its a 1lb difference based on what I read on the M&P Forum.
