I'm building a 16" mid-length right now, and am about to buy some parts.
I've heard both ways for a standard buffer and an H buffer for middies.
My question is basically are there benefits for the H buffer, or is the optimum a standard?
Will an H buffer cause short stroking?
It's only a difference of around 10 dollars so if there's any benefits I'll probably pick the H buffer.

I am running an H buffer and don't have any issues.

+1, my middy runs on H2

I would run a CAR buffer, if it caused problems (which it shouldn't) I would then switch to an H.
2 out of 3 of my midis have H buffers.

+1 I would run the car buffer as well, if not working correctly switch over to the H buffer.

Thanks guys
I generally run H's in most everything. A carbine will work for sure though.

I've run carbine, H, 9mm and rifle in my middy's with zero issues.
H2 is my favourite but have run from carbine to 9mm
