Where can I find these things? Would prefer local but they weren't in Lowes or Ace. All the online spots I have searched are either in Honk Kong or the UK?

Pappabear grabbed a variety of those at Harbor Freight near his house.

You can eyeball an aimpoint since you don't dial up elevation with it... But I'm kind of like you... I like stuff to be installed perfectly.

(you can also get the scope leveling kit at any of the big Sportsmans stores.... I don't think those kits are super expensive)

I have a few from Harbor Freight also. Dirt cheap.

I've seen similar items in some stores like Wally world in the section for recreation vehicles or campers. These are usually close to the automotive section. People attach the small levels at certain locations on their campers so they can level them when setting them up. I purchased one or two for my telescope mount.

most anywhere.. get cheap string levels, cut off the hooks and calibrate them with a known good level. Small precision levels are not cheap nor easy to fine, but not really required for this task.. IMO

I have learned that the longest level you can balance on a scope or rifle action is the easiest to use when leveling scopes. Even a pair or parallels would work better than short levels.

If there is room between the Aimpoint and mount, you can use a deck of playing cards to level the RDS.

You can perform a simple test to determine if your optic is level. Draw a 3'-4' line on a piece of cardboard and make sure the line is plumb when you staple it to your target board or wood uprights on your target stand. Place a round target in the middle of the line. Then hold over and under the round target, fire a few rounds and see if the rounds hit on or near the line. If you get the rounds to hit the line, it makes it easier to get hits at 300-400 yards by holding over.
