I have trigger envy. My son's old Gen 3 trigger is lighter, the takeup is smoother/lighter, and the break is more crisp/consistent. (I've done plenty of polishing according to instructions on this site. After I lube, it gets better, but not as good as my son's Gen 3, and after a time returns to heavier, etc.) I've read plenty of threads on people switching to a Gen 3 bar for better results. I also am ready to go with a smooth trigger - is this the right one?:

Thanks.

That's it.

It will still feel different, but better with a gen3 g17 trigger bar. My gen3 and gen4 g19s can have the exact same guts swapped out with each other but still feel different. I believe it has to do with the different trigger housing.

Thanks. If I do it, what connector is best with this bar?

^ What do you have in mind for this: Carry, Comp?

* I still prefer the Glock OE "-" 4.5 connector

Completely personal preference. I prefer the dot connector, which is stock in the gen 4. I'd give that a try before spending money on new parts.

I used all the parts you're looking at (gen3 G17 smooth face trigger/trigger bar & "minus" connector) and the result is pretty stark compared to the stock Gen4 G19 trigger. Add a quick polish and it's good to go.

I'll cast another vote for the minus connector. I have danced around with all of the connectors except for the + and currently am using the - or the dot in all of my glocks.

I'm a fan of (-) connectors as well. Regardless what you end up with, I'd stick with OEM. I've never met an aftermarket connector I liked.

Which connector is the OEM (-) on the Wolf site - the 5 LB?

Lone Wolf does not sell the (-) connector on their site, try Glockmeister.

I put a gen3 trigger bar in my gen4 I kept the dot connector in, made a world of difference, feels like a pound less in pull weight and its now smooth.

Roger - Lone Wolf does not sell the (-) connector, and GM does not sell the smooth trigger, and wants $25 for an OEM connector! That rocks.

ndzperformance.com has everything you're looking for, even a few bucks cheaper on the connector. The (-) connectors do cost much more than the others in general, as they are much harder to get ahold of.

That is the correct trigger bar you are looking for.

I personally prefer the stock gen4 connector with the gen3 trigger bar. I've tried a ghost and other 3.5 connectors in my 17 and none of them felt any better then the stock connector. I do a 25 cent trigger job on all my Glocks which helps a little.

You can find Glock minus connectors on Amazon.

Personally, I have tried many combinations and prefer the setup I learned from Frank Proctor... Glockworx Trigger Kit: http://www.wayofthegun.us/store/
