So I've completed all my paper work, and the wait begins. I have two 16" carbines, and I'm SBR'ing the BCM lower that is currently sporting a 9" Centurion rail. When my Stamp gets here I'm considering just swapping in a 10.5" or 11.5" barrel with a pinned low profile gas block for my 16".

Besides possibly needing a new buffer, currently running an H, is there anything else I need to be aware of? Just seems too easy to swap from 16" to 10."/11.5", and it feels like I'm missing something.

I'll probably change my mind a hundred times over the months while I wait, I'm already on the fence about saving up for a 11.5" BCM upper with a 10" KMR.

On a side note I'm pissed at myself for not doing this sooner. I assumed the Form 1 process would be much more difficult then it is, it seriously takes an afternoon, and that includes getting printed, and photographed.

PS I've got 10.5" on my Form 1 and will notify the ATF if I go with the 11.5".

It's so easy, even I did it. I would definitely get the BCM 11.5 with 10" KMR. While you're at it, get a suppressor too... NFA stuff seems to multiply quickly.

You really don't need to notify ATF every time you put a 11.5 or 14.5 or anything else on your registered lower. So long as you continue to own the 10.5 indicated on the Form 1 you will be fine.

You can have a dozen other uppers for it and won't need to mention any of them.
