Their EOtech is too far forward of the magnifier. Just sayin'. :jester:
I guess for some guys, dropping $1900 in a lake means losing it.
I'd be taking full advantage of the excuse to rent some scuba gear, myself.

Looks like someone attempted to ditch a murder weapon.
Or a young thief got scared. Or..... a really pissed off girlfriend/wife.
The rope came undone during LAV's latest torture test product.
I'd really have liked to have known if the Eotech and Magnifier still worked. That would be a great ad campaign for them if it did.

Easy, report it. Never know where a gun like that has been. I'd probably ask them to check it out and keep it if its clean. If its something reported stolen it could haunt you, " no officer I swear I just found it!"
If the barrel is rusted out, how's it ever going to come back to you? The world will never know that gun's history.
Wonder if he is going to mount it?

Serial number is on the lower. In my gun friendly state, I can check and see if the serial number is reported stolen without risk of losing the item I found.

The magnifier was full of water, so I'm going to go with no.
This is a "Catch and Release" situation if there ever was one.

No kidding, could you imagine the embarassment one would bare if they brought that thing on their boat and a Fish & Wildlife officer contacted them!

That'll tell you if it's stolen - Won't tell you if it was used to kill anyone.

Ok, I didn't quite catch that.
