I am thinking about getting a Mako stock for my AR. I am not familiar with this maker, anyone able to give me a heads up:help:

For the money you could get a much higher quality stock. If you want a bunch of storage get an STR or a VLTOR

How much was the mako stock you were looking at?

Mako is generally frowned upon here. Lesser quality polymers, they feel like if Kel Tec made AR accessories.

The Mako is 62.95. The reason I was curious about it is because it has an adjustable cheek riser. Hmm:thank_you2: Maybe a Magpul will work

I'd run one...if it was all I had.

you could do worse.... but for a little more money could probably get something better eg Magpul.

FWIW I dumped my Mako for a Magpul STR, could not be more pleased. Great cheek weld, very comfortable. I like me to run my buttstock at close to shortest length.
