View Full Version : anyone with a BE Meyer on a AR Pistol with 10"-12" barrel?
Looking for anyone with this configuration.
I'm trying to get an OAL from tip of BE 249F to the tip of a Sig Brace
How is the gas pressure?
How did you compensate for the recoil?
What buffer and coil do you recommend?
How much room would you give the 249F as far as rails are concern?
thanks
I am running the BE Myers on my DD Mk18 upper (10.3" barrel, 10" RIS II rail). From the tip of the FH to the end of the Sig Brace is 30" exactly. I am running a KAK Industries receiver extension with the 1.25" spacer. Gas pressure seems fine, maybe a little over gassed since DD uses a little larger gas port. I am using an H buffer and the carbine spring that came with the KAK RE, and recoil had been very mild. As far as room for rails I am assuming you mean for "overhang" of a handguard, and there is not much room for that. There is less than an inch from the rear of the gas slots to the wrench flats on the FH. Hope that answered your questions. I may could get some pictures at a later date if you needed them for reference.

Yes, please. That would greatly help visualizing this project.
I am not the best photographer, but these should give you an idea of the setup.

your awesome Sir

Not much room with the 249F, but, at least it looks clean on your set up.
95gtman,
Have you shot it much in that configuration. Trying to get an idea of how well the Insight/Haley WML holds up like that. Being so close to the FH and being plastic and all? Thanks for any input!
I have between 300-400 rounds down range with this configuration. So far I have had zero problems with the light, and it is taking the abuse. Also the FH is timed just right to keep most of the gasses off the light.
