I saw this on another forum and did not know if it had been posted here. Some enterprising soul(s) have compiled a list of those Americans who lost their lives in Vietnam, indexed by both name and hometown, as well as some personal information, decorations, service unit, etc., all of which can be searched and accessed through the website: http://www.virtualwall.org/iStates.htm

I thought it might be of interest to some members.

Another similar site I thank God for, where a few years ago I found my friend who was on the same orders for VN with me. All I knew for 30+ years was his KIA date from the weekly listings while I was in-country. After many years one of the guys from his unit posted the details of his passing. I and more importantly, his family, are so grateful for knowing he was well respected and left us honorably.

If you just google a KIA's name and Vietnam, different sources come up.

I grew up in San Bruno California and the San Bruno people were Known and it brings the hurt for them again. I saw the wall at the State capitol when going there with my kids.
