Defensive Handgun: Shooting on the Move

The Shooting on the Move course focuses on increasing the student's ability to effectively use a handgun during defensive situations while moving. Material to be covered includes: foreward/rearward/lateral movement, clearing malfunctions on the move, use of cover, weapon transitions, and multiple target engagement.

Class Date: 21 Sept 2014

Location: Carthage, NC

Cost: $175 (includes range fee)

Equipment Requirements:

Students will need:
1 Handgun with a Minimum of 3 Magazines or Speedloaders (Single stack pistols need a minimum of 5 magazines)
Strong Side Belt or Tactical Drop Down Holster(No Cross-Draw or Shoulder Holsters)
A Sturdy Gunbelt and Spare Magazine Pouch/Carrier
500 Rounds of Ammunition
Pen/Pencil and Paper
Ear and Eye Protection

Looking forward to this class Chris. Took it a few years ago, eager to run my VP9 if my OWB JM Custom holster arrives in time. If not, OK to run this IWB? Thanks!

You can use an owb or iwb holster if you want. I'll be using a VP9 in a owb for that class as well

Will this be a scoot and shoot, crab-walk, or full on SOTM (as in, hauling ass) class?

We cover moving forward/rearward using a slightly modified walking posture, 2 types of lateral movement, moving at angles, and moving around obstacles. There's only one drill where you'll come to a stop to make a shot
