Somebody is gonna pay a lot to own the most desirable comic book ever made. To think how many kids had their "golden age" comics books sacrificed to "paper drives" during the war effort.

You had me going there for a minute, I thought I was going to read that the Firearm Owners' Protection Act of 1986 had been overturned . . .

It says .10 on the cover. Why overpay? Must be a really good book...

That's a lotta loot for a comic book... And it's up another $100k.

Interesting that the seller conspicuously states the sale is "benefiting the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation" while the actual amount is 1%.

Better something than nothing but a tad misleading.

Nice pick up on the actual amount of benefit. I couldn't find where those asterisks were leading anywhere on the eBay listing.

Being perfectly fair to the owner (or consignment) of the comic, they want to get their moneys worth, but it is still 17,500.10 in contribution currently.

Kept it dry and in the dark. That is all you can do for the old white paper comics, Botasky.

Speaking of which, whatever became of CatShitOne?

God knows I'd love to find the '80s version. I've only been able to read the Vietnam era series.

They did release a 30 min video a few years ago.

I have it on blue ray and standard DVD...

That was an experimental one off release for the Studio (a lot of these small start up studios in Japan/Korea do these to show off what they can do). The CatShitOne I was referring to was the original comic series that highlighted the work of USAGI SF in Vietnam. Usagi is the romanizing for the Japanese word rabbit, hence the rabbits represent USA GIs.

I wonder if any of those people with excess money to spend would mind contributing to my ammo fund.
It would be a mere fraction of 1% to get all the ammo I could ever want... ;)
Actually, with the currently stated 1% amount I could finish ALL the gun related stuff I could ever want, and still have money left over....

Amazing. Thank god I'm not ridiculously wealthy because there is no way I'd be able to buy something like that and not read it.

If you were ridiculously wealthy, you'd buy two, one to read and one to keep in pristine condition!

That's probably true. I used to do that was guns, was a very expensive thing to do.

Can you imagine being one of those guys who vividly remembers buying this issue back in '38 and having his Mom throw it out in the garbage?
