New Poster, Old questions

Hey everyone, just joined the site, i stumbled across it on my search for a .308 chambered AR. Ive been in the Army for awhile now, most of my time was with the 82nd airborne. Anyway, what are some of the companies i should be looking at first, price ranges? Any personal opinions out there would help, or experience. Although i have found the shot group depends a lot on the shooter not the rifle, but i dont want to get a piece of crap either. Thanks for all your help.

I don't know Jack Shit about 7.62 AR's other than I want one. I am quite fond of the Noveske Leonidas, but not it's $3,300 price tag.

Armalite and DPMS have the most choices. Rock River Arms also makes a .308 AR. I have several in 5.56, and am extremely happy with those, but have not heard the reports as to reliability and performance on the .308's.
