Here is a rare opportunity. I have for sale a Colt Lightweight Officers Model customized Richard Heinie. This pistol was built for gun writer Bob Arganbright in 1986, and was featured in a 1988 article in Combat Handguns magazine. It also appeared in two other Arganbright articles, also in Combat Handguns.
If you are not familiar with Argenbright, he is one of the original founders of IPSC.
The pistol was done with Heinie's Personal Defense package, which consisted of Heinie Combat fixed sights, trigger job at just under 4 pounds with the series 80 parts, beveled mag well, polished and adjusted extractor, polished feed ramp, open and flaired ejection port, and removal of all sharp edges, and is numbered RH119PD in the frame near the thumb safety, and R Heinie under the serial number. The slide is also marked on the pickup rail.
Arganbright had Heinie add a long trigger, a Safari Arms stainless beavertail, and a Heinie reverse recoil spring plug, with a single Wolff spring to the package.
The pistol is wearing tulipwood stocks, which Argenbright mentions he was going to add in the article, and is shown with them in the holster articles.
This pistol is a time capsule, and it is rare to fine these in original condition. I will include copies of the articles, and the original stocks.
