Anyone tried it? I've see one that someone did in multicam a while back and it came out looking pretty good. I'm wondering how durable it is on the brace since it is pliable.

I wonder if you could dye it ? Might not work seeing as how its apparently a rubberish material (don't have mine yet).

The set up of that "pistol" is greatly confusing. Is the sling coming in contact directly with the gas tube? Do you use your third hand to activate the x300 and then have it only light up your left hand?

Certainly an interesting set up you have there... Why kind of paint did you use? Also, how has the finish on the brace held up over time? Thanks.

Im thinking about sending out my sig brace and MOE handguard to get dipped in multicam. Interested to see more info on people who have painted/dipped their sig brace!

I don't believe they can be hydro dipped.

What kind of paint won't chip off as the brace material flexes?

I wouldn't see a problem with standard paint, but I would not recommend Hydro Dipping it as it would crack and peel.

I realize that... I'm wondering what paint people are using though.

I found a spray paint called Performix "Plasti Dip Camo" that sprays a rubber-like finish onto a surface. It looks like most people use it to coat tool handles and what not though. I can't find anything about people using it on top of rubber. It comes in black, tan, green, and maybe some other colors. I might give that a go and see how it works. Anyone on here have any experience with it?

Cerakote will not chip or flake when the object is bent, but its not cheap to do. Aervoe is probably the best rattle can paints out there.

I was informed that the brace can't be cerakoted or dipped by the guys at a very reputable place.

I know you cant use the H series, but I was thinking the air cured C series. I could be wrong though.

That Aerovoe stuff looks promising. Sure is pricey though. I'm wanting to do some multi cam with this paint and I'm sure it's going to take a few of those to find a decent match.

The same hand that activates the charging handle also activates the light switch. Using this method let me spend the money for the third arm on ammo instead.

The gas block didn't have a sling swivel and I didn't have a QD cup on hand to mount on the Magpul. The sling is wrapped around the delta ring. The delta ring not only holds the handguards in place, it also covers the gas tube.

It's a simple matter to roll the thumb out of the way when the light is switched on.

The setup is temporary. It wasn't until after I installed the Magpul handgurds that I discovered that mounting the light in the 12 o'clock position would block the FOV of the Aimpoint, so I mounted the light just ahead of the optic where it's out of the way. It's not ideal, but it's better than no light at all. I'm not going to waste money on an offset light mount because I already know I'm not going to like it. In the meantime, the setup lets me shoot and will serve until I find a solution that suits my purposes

I used Rustoleum. It eventually wears with use, but I accept the fact that the occaisional touching up of paint is now a part of routine maintenance

Use a rubber bumper paint that is used on cars and trucks it flexes and doesn't come off, Any automotive store will carry it.

I found some clear matte rubber sealant. I'm wondering if I could have the brace hydro-dipped and then seal it with this stuff. I'll post an update/pics when I talk to my guy this week.

I am almost positive I have seen a sig brace dipped in multicam on TOS. I will go back and see if I can find the pic.

ETA: Okay it wasn't dipped, I think it was MC'd with gunskins. Member hipower90 on TOS's pistol.
