View Full Version : You ideas for a "man purse"

 There, I said it.

I have wireless access for a couple of days, and what better way to use it than this! Give me some suggestions for a laptop/travel bag that is simple, a few pockets, can be lugged around airports all over the planet and is good quality.

The "issue" bags are currently either grossly oversized, business type rigs or the Sandbag from Oakley...

http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/5580/44ca5046b60adpng000bc1.jpg

That thing is a tad too ghey for me to tell the truth

So... what say you guys? Any ideas at all?

My personal opinion is that if this is going to be used for travel in a civilian populations then a small mountaineering pack would blend in and hold your gear. I don't care for camo because you stick out like a sore thumb(khaki is ok). I tried the whole single shoulder strap pack and couldn't get used to it plus they all look ghey (as you said).

You've been around for a while so I'm sure you know the usual suspects for mountaineering gear.

Considering my age, the most discreet way for me to travel would be with a backpack.

Personally, I really like using a Camelbak Motherlode. Has an internal slot that fits most notebooks perfectly and does not look out of place in airports and such. Still using the one I picked up 2 or 3 years ago. Been on too many flights to Houston and Sacramento and has stood the test of time. Fairly reasonably priced as well.

Does it have to be from a "Tactical" Nylon company? As stated above I also don't care for camo or any molle stuff when I'm traveling. I've used a U.S. Luggage (http://www.usluggage.com/) bag called the "Two-tone Polyester Messenger Bag" (http://www.usluggage.com/product/P2T.htm) for several years now. It is a one-strap bag, however they have all types and sizes. Not sure if they're made in the US, I figure they would have said that on their "About us" page if it were true.

Just another idea for the list.

Personally, I’m getting materials and skills together to sew my own version of a man-purse. (I know, it’s worse than even saying man purse) I haven’t found anything that suits my needs as a do everything bag. It will be about the size of and look similar to a claymore bag but with more features. Not too big, not too small.

If it has to be tactical nylon, and you can’t find anything, you might want to contact EGG, I think that he can put anything together for you.

That’s the first time I’ve seen that Oakley bag, if you ditched the exterior pockets, it might look a little better to me.

I happen to spend an inordinate amount of time in airports across the country and camouflage like ACU and desert Marpat are popping up everywhere on backpacks and "Murses". There are tons of Soldiers and Marines traveling on leave. There are many former military members that carry that type of gear because it is comfortable or at least familiar to them and finally and most appropriately society has reached a point where it is ok to emulate the courageous members of our military service. My twin 10 year old daughters wear camo to school on occasion. So if you want to sport some camo get on down with you bad self and consider yourself en vogue.

My personal opinion is more along the line of what brother Nitrox has said. Finding good gear in an earth tone with a sporty designer tag is an easy mission. I am packing my gear for a hiking trip to Colorado that starts tomorrow. I have green and khaki hiking gear spread out all over my house. Believe me when I say there is plenty of stuff available. Check out the Monsoon gearslinger made by Maxpedition. It looks like it would make a great "Murse"

Thanks for the ideas... I think I found a solution last night.

I am not at all against camo/marpat/thispat/khaki/thatpat/hellokitty bags, but really try to not stand out too much. If you are OTA anymore, it is not easy and five huge pelican cases as check baggage does not help.

Anyway, I think I am on track with what I need.

Here's what I've been using for a carrying a laptop for the past few years. Plain old day pack with a padded insert to hold the computer. Easy to carry around, enough space to hold the computer, accessories, drinks and snacks for the ride, etc. and it nobody would ever give it a second glance.

I like the computer sleeve... where/who/what/etc?
My wife bought it from LLBean but I don't see it listed on their web site.

A google search for "laptop sleeve" returns a ton of hits but most of them are designed so they can be used as a standalone lightweight case as well as an insert and you have to remove the sleeve in order to get to the computer. A top opening sleeve like this one lets you leave the sleeve in the pack and just slide the computer in and out. Also, many of the sleeves I'm seeing look too soft. The one I have holds its shape well so that it's easy to slide the computer in and out.

There are also a lot of computer backpacks that have the sleeve built in but all of them I've seen scream "laptop" while this one is just a plain old day pack.

The closest match I can find is the Tactical Tailor laptop case:

As someone mentioned, I would contact the Eggmeister. He is a great guy and does kick ass work. I personally carry so much chit at times that I relish using a manpurse. Egg's MOJO mag does the trick for me. Blends in nicely, looks very vanilla. Well thought out interior that is completely modular. I am sure he could make it work for your laptop and other goodies:

I finally got around to looking at this. I've tried just about everything over the years from fanny packs, customized back packs, Oakley Sandbags, Maxpedition Fatboys, and others. I have decided that there is no real simple solution, and you have to gauge the carry system almost daily. Fanny packs I.D. that you have a gun........sometimes good (crooks will leave you alone because you have a gun), and sometimes bad. I have found many places now like to search bags with the idea of "security" that is usually a total joke. I am currently using a custom made Recce Gear bag that is really low profile and easy to carry, but a hair big for having on all the time. I liked my Maxpedition Fatboy for keeping my phone, pda, cuffs, spare bullets, flashlights, batteries, a spork, multi tool, etc.............The problem is I refuse to use any of Maxpeditions stuff since they decided to get involved in trashing one of my best friends. Hopefully someone will do a bag that is sort of small and easy to sling and set up for all the b.s. accesories we now carry in life. This allows me a bunch of secondary gear and I just keep my Glock/1911 THUG concealed under a big t-shirt.

For travel, I have always liked the Eagle briefcase.

I finally got around to looking at this...

A big down to having "deployable" the first word in your job title, is that we travle a lot -- pelican cases last about 2 or 3 years before the latches are broken and the hinges all messed up. I go through a few bags a year, and have an assortment of stuff... some works, some does not.

I was just seeing if there is anything new out there... I have my feelings about how to carry a firearm when flying and will not carry it in a seperate bag for obvious reasons, so that is not an issue.

We had a free-for-all issue of Maxpedition stuff about 2 or 3 years ago, I have to admit that most of it held up pretty well... but we moved away from it.

When you fly, do you carry your sidearm on your person or in a carry-on? I guess if you are policy bound then you are just that... all I am looking for is something that is rugged enough to take 30 weeks or travel a year, is practical in size and does not scream out: "I am from the Government" -- I found a lightly used Oakley hardshell recently and got it... I had one before, but they quit making it, but I am sure this one will last me for as long as I have left on the job :D

I use this bag as my everyday bag. When I carry a pistol in it, it goes on the inside main compartment. They way they showed it in that outside pocket doesn't work, the pistol pulls the velcro open and expose the gat.

The bag is similar to the Maxpedition set up, except it's available now and cheaper. :)

Time to resurrect an old thread....

So the question of the man purse or Murse came up recently and this thread caught my attention while I was doing a search for something else.

Like Rob, I had been looking at the Maxpedition bags but after actually seeing it at SHOT I wasn't impressed. I have been searching for the all purpose bag... something to tote the laptop in and use as a grab and go SHTF bag.

So while at shot, I run across this guy that has a company called Triple Threat Tactical. He has a bunch of shoulder bags on the table and then precedes to go through his dog & pony show and I was quite impressed. This is one well made piece of kit. Hidden compartment for a long fixed blade, loop compartment for a gun, drop down front to use it as a mobile desktop, computer sleeve with separate shoulder strap, an expandable rear section, fully lined with PALS webbing and loop. The shoulder strap is adjustable on the fly and can be removed and used as a riggers life belt. It has a hidden waist strap and also has compartments that will allow it to hold two armor plates.

Now I must say that for me, finding the right bag has been like looking for the holy grail (sort of like finding the right fixed blade)... I have owned over 20 different types of shoulder/bagpack type bags....I used to carry a couple of cameras around when I freelanced for the Miami Herald so these bags had to be sorta all purpose. I've used Domke, Lowe-Pro, Camelbak, Swiss Army, Wenger, Oakley, and more than a few others.... and because I have more money than brains, I now have a Triple Threat Tactical bag.

I have yet to place this thing in service because it might just be too much bag for me. I also need to figure out what pouches to get to configure it. I will get some pictures of it posted so you all can see what I mean.

Anyone find a new go-bag solution yet?

I'm using a DBT E&E bag right now that screams tactical...I wont carry it in CONUS, but it works in a combat zone just fine.

Hey dude im in the same boat,
check out the duck hunting type bags made by Filson. Canvas and made like most of the current manbags (single shoulder strap).

I had one for years and abused the hell out of it in punishing conditions and it held up exceptionaly well. I lost it in a move and am heading to town tomorrow to try and score another.

While I'm not sure how much the i-SHOT F/X bag falls into the "man purse" category, I'm pretty happy with mine since I've gotten it configured.

At 13" X 9" X 7" it's not very big, and even though it grows a little when you add the MOLLE compatible AR & pistol pouches, as well as one each for the light and knife to the external PALS webbing which covers 3 sides.
The velcro flap that covers the mag pouches is a nice, but removeable touch, the interior is configurable for up to 6 compartments, and my only complaint about it was the plastic hardware on the sling for attaching it to the bag. I replaced that with one with metal buckles from one of my many camera bags, added the included shoulder pad and it's good to go.

I've got my bag set up with 4 AR mags (2 in the backside zippered pockets, but 4 could easily be carried here), each loaded with 28 rounds of MK262 which I use in the SBR (as well as the SPR), 2 HK P7M8 mags with Ranger ammo, the Geovid 10X42 binoculars & mount/pod, a PVS-14 & weapon mount, IR Surefire, IR laser, a gripod, first aid stuff, as well as the P7M8 itself in the padded pistol pouch, a 6P Defender with Malkoff CREE bulb, and a camo Strider SNG, and of course other mission specific items can be added.

I haven't had a chance to check one of these out but it looks good for concealing a pistol and mags.

If you need something to give your bag some form and hold a pistol and mag look at this option.

Countrycomm.com has their "Bail Out Bag".

I've thought about buying one for quick range days when I only have the time to shoot 50-150 rounds from one handgun.

I've carried a County Comm Bail Out Bag to work every day for about a year and a half. It's been stuffed to the gills with a little bit of everything, and it's held up great. There are no popped stitches or seams, and the nylon has proved to be surprisingly durable. It's been thrown in the trunks of cars or in the backs of vans, and it's handled the abuse. If you need to carry it for long periods the shoulder strap is actually well made and well padded. It has plenty of space inside, with a removable divider, and plenty of pockets on the outside.

Yes, it is made in China, but for $40 I don't think it can be beat.

The CountyComm bag is much like my Maxpedition "Last Resort Tactical Attache". I don't have my own loaded pic, but for scale, the tall pouch on the side facing is the height of a PMag.

I was looking at the County Comm bailout bag, but after getting a laptop recently I ended up trying the Force Multiplier Bag (http://www.countycomm.com/FORCE1.htm) from County Comm. It's a little bigger, well padded, covered with webbing, and has a removable internal divider in the main comparment that has velcro mag loops and holster. I used it as a carry-on/laptop bag on a recent trip and was very pleased. I don't have a ton of gear but it's construction seems solid.

This is kind of a necropost, but what the hell...

FWIW....I'm currently on the search for the perfect (or closest to it) bail out bag. I'm hoping to get a few other contestants before I really put all my thoughts down in a formal review; however, a Maxpedition Neatfreak currently sits beside me in the car and is possibly going to be THE bag.

http://www.maxpedition.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=0&idproduct=58

Pros:
-Size is almost perfect for my needs. I don't put a lot into the bag. Holds field dressings/med stuff, two Glock mags, two 30 rd Pmags, knife, 550 cord and a Surefire battery container with ease.

-Clamshell design so I don't have to dig for stuff.

-has handles on all sides except bottom which makes sense because of the clamshell design.

-Priced right at $55 (I know the MSRP is higher, but I believe that's what my local shop had them marked at.)

Cons:
-Design could be a better. Some of the pockets and flaps aren't very logical.

-Some thought has to go into the packing to get it to close properly.

I've tried to find some reviews of the bag, but have come up empty. I'm kind of surprised though since myself and some others I've shown it to have really liked it.

I am posting to subscribe, but also because I also carry a "man-purse" wherever I go. I am a diabetic and carry a kit with my meter and insulin in it, but thing is I also carry my Franklin Covey space-saver planner with me as well. SO I have went from back packs like A black North Face or something. but since getting my CCW and toting a G19 around I am hunting for a new bag to carry all the time.

I currently carry the "bag of death" which is just a basic cotton bag that was used by yes Jack Bauer, in 24...Don't laugh, they are like 20-30 bucks on ebay "without the CTU metal logo" and it's a nice casual bag. Its the basic olive type green bag, it has the one huge main compartment with some smaller ones but it's doesn't support any weight at all. I am looking for a bag that would allow me to quickly remove and insert the G19 in an inner edge holster area.

This has drawn me to the 5.11 Tact Push Pack which has a inner compartment to attach any hard loopped velco attachment, i.e. a soft holster for the G19...

But wandering around e-bay has me also looking at a pack from Maxpedition like the jumbo versipak.

I use a North Face black backpack as my "range bag" All my stuff fits in it, incl cleaning stuff and it's easier to tote since I can don both straps and it stays centered on my back. But has no storage compartments to keep stuff from really moving around in it.

Also don't want to stand out, which in a college town everyone has some kind of bag on their shoulder...

So I am re-searching the options you have shown and greatly appreciate the info this site has offered me. I was one more pay check away from getting a Stag arms BTW, and am now saving a tad more for a 6920 or a LMT as my first black rifle...

Thanks again for your time.

If any of you have seen your wives digging through their purses to find something, I'm not sure I see the value in that, besides purses get stolen.

And no I don't carry my glock in there.

The only downside is going through security at airports with it. I don't even bother anymore.

And is it that comfortable wearing like a backpack or do you carry it like a shoulder bag?

Q1: Yes. From their website:
"The hydration pocket is also equipped with loop side Velcro for attachment of our Hook & Loop Modular Accessories such as #3501 Universal Modular Holster."

Q2: It's like a messenger bag, so it is worn more along the back than side, like the Jumbo or Fatboy.

As pointed out it does have a velcro panel in the hydration part but I find it's not very comfortable to use so I don't. Things aren't really accessible instantly either. You're not going to outdraw anyone, but you can carry a significant amount of firepower/accessories and still have room leftover.

You can wear it as both and I do. It's very comfortable especially for its size, it's bigger than you might think.

I usually wear it as a pack because I find I can whip it around and carry it on my chest if I want or if I have to sit down in a car/bus. I personally think it would make an awesome "jump" or "active shooter" bag.

On a quality note, I've abused the hell out of mine for two+ years and outside of dirt/stains it looks essentially new. IMO Maxpedition makes some of the best quality/designed gear on the market. They're "old school" in that they make a great product at a reasonable price. It's a family owned business that's very serious about quality/value.

I am leaning towards this bag or the Blackhawk Tactical Briefcase

I am not LE, or Mil but need a bag that I can get my stuff into but be able to carry CCW on the street but be able to transition into work. The bag will be with me 5-days a week when at work. Like I said I need to be able to carry it every day and still be able to run around downtown with CCW in tow.

I'm waiting for this (http://www.maxpedition.com/product/product_ta_lastresort.htm) to come out, but I'd like to hear what solution you came to.

robs,

The link above doesn't work for me. Which Maxped. model are you waiting on? I'd like to see.

I know that KL DAVIS has said he found his "man purse", but I thought I'd add this to the list of recommendations. In my humble opinion, there IS NONE better than the TAD "EDC" or "PATROL" pack. Keep in mind that my link below is for the 1800cu inch "EDC" pack, and the "PATROL" size pack is considerably larger at about 2800cu inches. However, the "EDC" size pack is better for daily carry, and the "PATROL" size is more like a tactical "mission" pack, for use in the field, or in combat.
SO, without further delay, here is the TAD "EDC" pack. Multiple color options, including all the mil tactical colors, as well as civvi black.
As was stated somewhere earlier in this thread, in todays society, you can EASILY get away with ANY tactical color, and yes, even Multicam.
Young kids everywhere are wearing BDU's, and camo pants/shirts/hats/etc. I'm actually quite pleased, as it really keeps those of us in the tactical/LE/Mil. world from sticking out like a sore thumb.

A backpack is simply the best choice for a "man purse" IMHO. There's just something about throwing a single strap over my shoulder (as a woman would do a purse), that I can't come to terms with. Don't get me wrong. Maxpedition, and other manuf's make "single strap" packs that are anything but "feminine", but I just prefer a double strapped backpack.

Here's the TAD EDC pack. Pricey, but ENDLESS OPTIONS, and even has equiptment specific pouches for Surefire lights, knives, IPODs, etc, etc, that all attach via MOLLLE/PALS webbing. The options are endless, and you will NOT be disappointed.

The Maratac Extreme breif case is cool, but it's a full sized brief instead of a purse. It has the Pals webbing on the back and sides for high speed tactical stuff. It would more than suffice for carrying a lap top. But I just use mine as a regular brief case. It's not too tactical looking to be used as a normal brief case.

It hase the velcro holster and mag holders inside. (although I really don't use these... I just put my paddle holstered pisto in one of the compartments.)

I use a black one, but bought and OD green one.. either to keep or give as a gift some day.

Green,
YES, you are very correct. Anyone who has EVER owned one of the TAD packs, has said that they are simply the BEST tactical type packs EVER designed.
Each year, TAD (the distributors and designers of this pack), upgrade the pack, and just add little features here and there. Each Generation of TAD pack continues to improve, and they just get better and better each year.
Simply amazing, and although I do not currently own one, it is on my list, (and has been for a WHILE). I WILL be owning one in Multicam or OD soon!
Thanks.

I know I am dragging this thread back into the light... but hear me out.

The problem with most of these bags is that they hang off your side and move around when a person gets active. Also, there is a lot of weight being supported by one shoulder. The bag would work better if it got up on the back.

Here is a bag from Chrome http://www.chromebags.com/. These things are built like tanks. I am not real wild about the belt buckle up front, but I have not had it come undone accidentally. However, it would be sexier with a cobra buckle.

http://i276.photobucket.com/albums/kk3/testudo13/alexstanding.jpg
Here is how it looks cinched up (that is not me in the pic). With a pull from a d-ring up front the strap extends and the bag has room to rotate up front. When the bag is on the back there is more support and when the strap is cinched up the bag does not bounce around. If this was worked into a discreet shooters bag it would be a nice option for urban settings.

I have a computer soft briefcase that I got when I went to the Apple developer conference in 2007. For now I will use this until I find the bag I really want.

It has a back pocket on the backside that is closed off with Velcro. If I had a stiff board with some velcro on it I could stick that in and stick the gun in there in between the board and the bag (so the board holds a simple holster and acts as an outline hider).

Question is, where can I get a stiff board with velcro on it that I can use a standard velcro holster like the Maxpedition or other similar one?

Probably around 14-15" x 8" or thereabouts

I've found pliable plastic sheeting at hardware and craft stores.

I also strip hardware, internal frames/sheets, etc from gear when it gets junk for future tweaks and experiments.

Cut to fit in the compartment it will be used in. Glue velcro onto it. It's often helpful to rivet or reinforce that velcro to the sheet in places, especially if you may remove or reconfigure the attachments.

Alternative- Sheets of tin or aluminum can be used, and layered to achieve desired rigidity. Round and protect corners/edging to protect bag.

Alternative, and a favorite- Take an old piece of soft body armor, cut to fit compartment. Sew a cover for it, with velcro sewn on. Attach holster. Also useful in women's handbags, kids backpacks (sans gun), etc, med kits, etc.

Well, I finally decided to get me a decent bag instead of using my old MountainSmith Lumbar Pack. Well, I did my searching and finally decided on the Blackhawk Battle Bag. Mine is the newer non-MOLLE bag. I got it in black. Thought about tan, but found the bag on clearance at a local shop for $50.00 and couldn't resist. I like the bag, however the shoulder strap is a little short. On the other hand I am a little tall too. Six five, 280lbs. Not the average size guy mind you. I have been carrying it daily to and from work, around the "public", and on a couple trips to downtown Atlanta while helping out on my wife's photography jaunts. Anyway here are the pics with the contents.

First, the main contents (from left to right);
Sierra Designs Jacket, Tac Pack, J&J Boo Boo Kit, P220 w/Milt Sparks VM2, two spare mags w/pouch, Surefire G2, CRKT Folder, ASP 16" Baton, Binos, E&E Kit, MS2000, Mk13 Smoke/Flare, Nalgene, and double M4 Magazine Pouch. The last item is not carried everyday. Just stored with my carbine to grab in a hurry if necessary.
http://pic4.picturetrail.com/VOL775/4424444/9356499/337033335.jpg
Here's a detail of the E&E Kit. It is in a TT Vertical E&E Pouch. This is a rough start for the kit. Contents; Leatherman, 550 Cord, Emergency Blanket, Chemlights, PowerGel, Drink Singles, (4)3V batteries, Duct Tape, Compass, FOX 40, Aleve, Sharpie, pen/paper, lighter, and hand sanitizer.

Most of the time the M4 magazines are not in the bag, but in a quick grab three magazine bandoleer stored with this RRA 16" RECCE-style Mid Length (stock has since been replaced with CTR and G&G MAD BUIS added).

I actually had a "deployment" with the bag while in the Smokey Mountains this past weekend. A family member had a medical emergency and needed immediate medical care until EMTs arrived. Mom in law is ok, just real sore. Kudos to Sevier County, TN EMTs and Ft. Sanders - Knoxville emergency room personnel.

This bag served me well and I don't leave home without it.

I never understood the practice of carrying two DIFFERENT handguns. Sure, the second handgun can be a good "New York reload" if they're both worn, or be used if the other one goes tits up.

But carrying two different handguns strikes me as just increasing the need for extra mags.

Why not carry two of the same gun (or family...i.e. Glock 17 and 26)? That seems more logical.

Liquid Rhino

I don't understand it either, unless you're talking about a small backup pistol like a 380... the above post was only showcasing the available space of such a small bag that has 2 separate, dedicated ccw compartments, not at all a 'typical' carry scenario. Usually, I'll only carry my xd in the bag, a water bottle, ID cards, flashlight & utility knife.

As the OP was asking for a space to hold an internet-capable device, the bag above would fit a smaller ultraslim wireless pc or something like the Amazon Kindle.

I found this thread searching for more info on it too, it was all I have found, starting at post 12.

Looks good enough to try for the price that is for sure so I may get one myself! I know this is sorta a necro thread, but it has been getting resurrected for years now it seems so it should be ok! Great thread with tons of good info that is for sure. Battlelab makes a nice E&E bag, but at over twice the price I think the 5.11 bag would suffice for me.

I think it's hilarious how a thread with "man purse" in the title has been viewed 13,161 times.

If you have the cash and like to roll in style, check out the Dispatch bag from TAD Gear.

LA Police Gear is now selling their Bailout Bag (http://www.lapolicegear.com/tabaoutbag.html) for $19.99. Couldn't help but pick one up at that price.

I guess you missed the $12.99 Snooze N' Lose Deal on it earlier this week... :(

Ha! Sadly, I did miss that Snooze and Lose, but I did have a LAPG coupon for 10% off. $12.99 is an absolutely smoking deal for this bag though! Considering how often LAPG sends coupons out, it should be easy to get this bag for under $20 during the holidays.

I don't know if anyone mentioned this earlier but the Emdom TNT bag looks like it can fit the bill as a decent "man purse." I currently have one in black and love it. I use it more of a brief case than over the shoulder bag but it works either way.

MM did a sweet write up on his site as well.

I know I'm a new guy here, and my opinion means squat right now, but I thought I would give it anyways! There is only ONE man purse to have, and that is the OFFICIAL Jack Bauer Bag! If Jack uses it, it is good enough for me!

Just ordered one of these. The price was great and if it is as good as it looks I'll order another.

Yeah, I'm still messing around with mine. So far, I'm satisfied and am still figuring out what to keep in it. I am disappointed with the two outside pouches that are ostensibly for AR magazines (as pictured above); you can't close the flap with two magazines in there, which is annoying. Even one PMAG strains the pocket considerably, though you can fit a single GI magazine in there. Though it's a sub $20 bag, I thought they could at least get that right...

Only problem is, the mag pouches in the outer pocket, they're sewn all ****ed up. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v239/irishman0556/Gear/DSCF0303.jpg
That's how far they were all sticking out. And it doesn't close. You can hold a few in the Bottom mag pouch, two in the middle and a 20rder on the top - or just put something else there.

Pics taken over two years ago. Still use the bag daily!

I'd love to see something like this that was tactical on the inside...

K.L.

I just bought a Maxpedition backback from this company.

Fast service and decent prices. I think orders over $100.00 ship for free.

Which on of the two shown on the link did you buy? What I think the top one is nice for a day or 2 long hikes, while the bottom one is better for being amongst lots of people seeing how many younger guys now-a-days carry a shoulder bag of sorts for laptops, or other supplies.

Me too. It's a very handsome bag.
