Colt Sporter info needed

I have a Colt sporter Rifle on lay away . The gun appears in like new condition, The gun is 20 inch and the serial number is in th SP314XXX range. The gun has the tear drop style forward assist and the round style bolt. The barrel is marked CMP 1/7 5.56. THe gun has round style handguards Any help or information is appreciated.

What style rearsight and weight of barrel? Also does it have a shell deflector?

A-1 style rear sight, standard weight barrel-not H-bar and no shell defelctor. I called Colt and all they could tell me was the gun was made befroe 1991.

Would guess that the lower is marked 'Sporter II'. If still in original configuration with A2 type buttstock and finger groove pistol grip and A2 4-position front sight.
Probably be a model 6401 with the tear drop forward assist.
