I have a Dillon 550B reloading machine. I am loading up some ammo for my .223 AR rifles and my 30/30 lever rifle. I have had good success with the ball powders in my Dillon progressive, but the long extruded stick powders don't measure worth a darn. What stick powders are you guys using in your Dillon progressive?

Any short cut extruded powder should work. H322, 8208XBR, RE-15, and AR-Comp are some of the more popular 223/5.56 extruded powders that run very well through a powder thrower. I use H322 and XBR exclusivley, so I know they throw well.

XBR, H322, Norma 202, and Benchmark have all worked good enough for me. I get some swings here and there, but I get Sub MOA ammo all the time.

AA2495 sucked big time for me. It didn't look like it'd be a pain, but I had immediate bridging issues and spilled a little powder on the press. Quit that crap immediately after that .

I've recently be using Alliant 1200-R for 223. Meters very well and seems to be cheaper than other powders. Alliant claims it was specially made for buil 223 reloading on progressive presses. I've been happy with it so far. Ramshot TAC is also another I've been using.

I have been using both Benchmark and 4198 I reload for the same calibers that you do.

I use H322 and XBR with an occasional RE-15 load and they all have been pretty consistent through my 550B. I might get a drop that's .1 over/under every so often but I feel it's about as consistent as I'm going to get through my Dillon. I tried Varget but that was a no go. I'd think any short cut extruded will work fine though.
