That is about the perfect OD. Last I heard, grey was in the works, too. Any word on if/when that's going to happen, and roughly what shade of grey it'll be?

Also, for what it's worth, IWI's ability to make good on plans in a timely fashion is encouraging. Part of why I bought a Tavor (and will buy more in the future) is that it seems they're providing pretty solid support, parts availability, etc. This is a major problem with lots of the other AR alternatives out there, even from big companies. IWI has already done more with the Tavor than the clowns at FN or Bushmaster have done with the SCAR or ACR.

Does anyone know if the HK polymer mags work with the Tavor? It's not a deal breaker if they are incompatible but it would be nice to have that option.

Tzintzuntzan - HK polymer mags will function in the TAVOR, but you run into 922(r) problems since the mags are made in Germany

I thought each Tavor was shipped with an Israeli made mag and that therefore each rifle had enough US made parts to be compliant on its own. Is this not actually true?

"Putting an E-Lander mag, or any imported mag into the TAVOR SAR, would be a violation of 922(r). We suggest that you only use US made magazines. CAA makes the countdown mag for IWI US, here in the US. But any US made mag will do."

And If you read this (http://bullpupforum.com/index.php?topic=2644.0) topic from BPforum you can find out what parts that are being made domestically in the aftermarket that could help put you under the required count. Namely domestic manufacture trigger pack and housing and a domestic manufacturer hand-guard. If you read down it is made clear that slapping the HK mag into a Tavor isn't going to bring the ATF out of the woodwork to prosecute you.

This rifle is getting hard to ignore. Love my suppressed 12.5 SBR AR but this gun is tempting as an alternate that can easily cross state lines with no worries. That OD looks really nice.

I'm an OD green fan too - it looks good on the Tavor. I hope we'll see manufacturers move away from foliage green and produce more OD accessories now that the Army is doing away with UCP.
