Besides being huge and ugly as sin, has anyone tried one yet? This could be the perfect device to clear the benches next to you on the range. It's not practical at all I think but damn I want to shoot some M193 at night through this on a short barrel just to see what kind of flash this thing puts out.

This thing is an insult to the culinary arts, I don't think I could even cut out ragged chunks of dough with that monstrosity. At best I'd say the thing would cut out half a chunk and just leave the other half pressed down until it is vaguely transparent. False advertising at its best.

More potato masher than cookie cutter really. I expect we'll end up seeing that thing as the business end of some sci fi energy weapon on a budget movie or show in the somewhat near future though.

As far as clearing benches a PWS556 will do it, as will a .300 Winmag with a brake.

That thing weighs a good half pound! The weight probably does more to reduce muzzle rise than the gas vents

What's the chance they'll add that to Halo: Nightfall?

The fact that the comp weighs 1/2 lb lost my interest.

They doing another Halo game? Dear god.
Anyway, no bets, but I wouldn't be surprised.

The opposite extreme as the PIG! I wouldn't buy either of them.

It's a mini series. I think it's also on TV. Besides Halo is awesome.

Looks like a combination of a meat tenderizer and the muzzle brake on a soviet DsHK... no thanks.

The COOKIE CUTTER COMP is, hands down, the Best muzzle brake for compensating muzzle rise and recoil on Short Barrel Rifles (SBR's) and AR-Pistols.

This claim is not supported. In brakes, bigger does not mean better. The gigantic JP Recoil Eliminator did not do as well as some of the smaller diameter brakes in tests I've read.

I was surprised in the vid that it works as well as it does. I'd have said the length was too short, and I still believe the large diameter at that short length is no advantage, but-- having made my own brakes I can tell you there is so much output to work with, it's actually pretty easy to have an effect on movement of the gun.

But still I hope to never be next to one on the line. As I've stated before something like this may have its place but it is not in a class where you will have fellow shooters around you, it is not on the AR next to your bed and it's not in a patrol car or SWAT van.
