I have been working on load development with this rifle for a while. Getting pretty consistent with my reloads now.

Here are a two targets with 5 round groups at 100yds, cause that is all I have, going up at .2 grain increments. You can certainly see when you see an accuracy node.

77 gr MK with n140 started at 24 gr. and went to 24.8 looks to me that it is just hitting an accuracy node at 24.8

24.8 load av vel 2826 ES 10.57 SD 3.87

28253

69 gr MK with CFE223 started at 25.2 gr and went to 26. I see an accuracy node at 25.6 and it looks like another starting at 26

25.6 LOAD AV VEL 2837 ES 26.52 SD 10.90

28254

You're getting a 77 gr smk to go 2826? That's impressive. I start popping primers at about 2770 (20 inch bbl velocity). But my XBR might be a faster powder.

That's smokin for 77's
I got them about the same speeds with CFE but accuracy suffered and XBR worked so well.

Bottom right on both sets looks like they need further expiration.

N140 is slower than XBR.

I am using a shooting croney. It could be reading high. Wish I had a way to verify it.

My vertical group is good on each of the bottom right targets. Its horizontal stringing that is opening them up. I think that is me. I am going to work on my consistent hold and trigger squeeze.

I am chasing both the 69gr and 77gr. Loaded up two 10 shot strings for each of those bottom right loads. See what the ES and SD are with 10 shot and see if the group stays together.

I also have two more 5 shot groups for each bullet weight going up two tenths of a grain each time. See if there is more to that accuracy node.

Will find out tomorrow.

How long is the barrel you're using? As others have said those velocities are impressive. I'm normally around 2500-2600 fps out of a 16 inch barrel.

I have a 20" barrel

I believe the velocities are right. Had to dispose of 25% of that brass due to loose primer pockets. brand new lapua brass and that load killed it.

Dropped down to 24.5 gr of n140 and I am in the 2730 to 2750 range but the brass survived

Think I am going to work on the 70 gr berger VLD. But they are backordered everywhere right now.

Man, if you are killing brand new Lapua brass with one load I would reassess that load... I'm getting 8+ loads on brand new Lapua brass with Varget, H322, & XBR.

Yeah... XM193 is way higher pressure than anything I'd ever load, and that brass is still good for multiple loadings.
