I just read this article on the guns and vehicle mock ups from Red Dawn. Must have been nice to just convert a bunch of AK's to full auto back in the day. I wonder if anyone on here has one of those Red Dawn conversions ?

Thanks for the link, one of my favorite films that I watch every autumn. One of the reasons I got into Kalashnikovs.

Dan Shea still owns several and he purchased most of the Stembridge collection when it was offered for sale. Keep in mind back in 1983 those Steyr import Maadi's were going for $1,200 each or about $2,800 today and that was for a semi auto rifle. The "74" mockups they mentioned are the most interesting.

This was a very powerful movie for me as a young man. Still one of my favorites.

One of my favorite movies. Not sure about the guns but I have one of the Soviet camo jumpsuits used on the movie. I bought it from one of the prop managers back in 1987. That the was very cool.
