Apparently the local politicians created an ordnance requiring people on city property to have their pants two inches below their waist or less. This obviously upset the local NAACP chapter, so they decided to tell us how they really feel:
Willis said that the black community wants the same thing as “other” people. Willis said poor people within the black community want to live in that gated community, they want to have a horse farm.
The most shocking of all is what was written on a website that appears to be against the white community. The rant was actually more like a list of demands for “free stuff.”
The list is as follows:
Restore the voting rights of all black felons in Marion County so they can feel like they are part of the community instead of disenfranchised.
Give more civil rights and human rights
Better criminal justice and public safety
More economic justice (Higher Pay)
Better education
Better housing
More Medicaid expansion and healthcare exchanges
Abolish the “Stand Your Ground” law

According to the last Census, more than 98 percent of the black community within Marion County is already on some sort of government assistance. Whether that be free child care, food stamps, cash assistance, free housing, free utilities, free phones, free education and sometimes free transportation, Willis wants more.
Investigators said that many of the individuals that are receiving government assistance are doing so illegally, and many times use cash assistance to buy drugs and alcohol.

Folks ought to be careful when expressing their desire to live in a "gated" community. Cause gates can lock from both sides.
I live out in the sticks, so a lot of what they "want" is not applicable to my AO. However, the "horse farm" thing......my wife has a horse on our property, soon to get a second one but it's hardly a "farm". Nonetheless, you want it? Come and get it.

Everytime I see "list of demands" from "disenfranchised" people of this sort, I think back to my Junior year in college where I had the liberty to read and research through the Weirmar Source book, a collection of primary source documents, translated, during the Weirmar Republic of Germany. When flipping through it, I landed on the demands of the Deusche Socialist Workers Party, with many of the demands close to what many in recent history have demanded, including the OWS people.
The Party in question with their demands will later become the Nazi party.

Well of course they want what you have after all they are not called the Free Shit Army for nothing. The reparations known as Affirmative Action, Section 8, SNAP, EBT, WIC, et al. are simply not enough. All one has to do is look at the DOJ crime demographic data that was last published prior to Holder's appointment by Barry to see they will take what whitey's got by any means.

Essentially they want unarmed white victims, anyone that could look like a son of Barry should have free rain to wreak terror and havoc. They want to finagle self-defense into a civil rights violating hate crime. We're seeing this play out all over again in Ferguson, MO.

They should start first with themselves. When the Black Panthers are disarmed and given a "duty to retreat" when attacked, when law abiding black people are stripped of their arms and face dire legal consequences for defending themselves against white, predatory criminals and when black men have to face the grave reality that they might lack the means and ability to protect their family from the men in the yard who are there simply to kill them over race...then and only then...will I even give the smallest consideration to the discussion of getting rid of "stand your ground" laws.
Of course once those conditions are satisfied, I suspect we may not need to have the conversation at all. Fortunately most of the black people I know have as little to do with the "black community" as I do with the "white community."

I'm kind of curious how someone working at the Krogers in Memphis Tn, has so much "stuff" that it needs to be taken from them. Last I heard that's a minimum wage or slightly better job, so perhaps this is really just racisim and no longer about "social justice"?

Be careful where you debate this issue. If you work at any level of government, regardless of your comments, you'll likely be identified as a negative and insensitive person. If you pursue the argument, you will embarrass your friends and co-workers. If you raise the question at a later date, you'll be labeled a nut. When I was a health inspector, I inspected a minority owned bar. The owner remarked that Obama wanted to help the poor people, and I asked if she considered herself poor. When she replied yes, I pointed to her new Mercedes which we both knew to be financed by unreported income from pimps, whores, and drug dealers working out of her place--not to mention a thriving beer and food business.
Black vote is diminished by the large number of felons in that population. This issue is raised from time to time. Eventually, prison populations will have access to the ballot box--not just felons in the free world. When that happens(and it will), politicians will appeal to incarcerated and released felons. I can only wonder how a candidate might appeal to nazis's and skin heads and at the same time attract other idiots from Hispanic and black gangs.

That's different. In Germany, it was the middle class that had their savings wiped out. Those same people were happy to work, and did so later during German public work programs.
My parents never took anything from anyone. Dad was a vet/small business owner and mom teaches. My fiance and I are the same way, earning it day by day and week by week. I make good money, but I started at the bottom like everyone else.

Until the age of 9 or so, we were living comfortably, then the IRS hit us up for $200,000 in back taxes (this is the 80s) that my grandfather owed so I got to experience poverty first hand. I make good money now too - own my own business that I started with a $1200 paycheck. I believe my work ethic was instilled from being poor and toughing it out. "Oatmeal for dinner again?" I may have grown up a bit malnourished, but at least we didn't ride on the backs of taxpayers!

The difference is only one particular group/race has active spokes persons going around making demands like the one linked and throwing jet fuel on a smoldering fire.
