View Full Version : Which Geissele trigger to match my SR-15?

So I have an SR-15 E3 mod1. For the sake of consistency I'd like to install a trigger in my 6920 that feels about the same as the SR-15. Obviously I could track down a Knights trigger and put it in, but they're pricey. Will the Geissele G2S feel about the same?

If you've felt both I'd appreciate your input, or alternate suggestions.

I've owned numerous KAC 2stage triggers, as well as S2S (pre-G2S..same thing) triggers, and I'd say they feel very similar to each other.

This brand new KAC 2-stage is for sale in the EE:

Edit: whoops it sold. I see them at least once a week though. Keep an eye out on the EE.

I would just locate a kac 2stage trigger then. They can be found.

I recently picked up some G2S triggers. I also have an SSA-E or two. Any of these would be great choices.

Thanks for the insights. I got the AIM email for G2S triggers $110 shipped at labor day and hesitated. Once I tried to move on it, they were sold out. I will pick one up whenever the right deal comes along.

Second the votes for the G2S trigger.

In my personal opinion, the following article on triggers for the Ar, was well worth the read:

I have the SD-C (Super Dynamic Combat) in one of my AR's. Awesome trigger pull and has the straight trigger bow, which I like.

G2S, SSA, KAC 2-Stage, [and even with enough futzing CMMG NM] all feel quite similar - I'd run the G2S or SSA (whichever you can find cheaper) and call that good, for the price. The G2S is the winner if AIM gets any more in stock at the price from last week.

Interesting article; however, it completely glosses over the Krieger-Milazzo trigger which in the beginning of the AR-15 surge over the M1A, and for some years after, was THE trigger to get for High Power service rifle competition. They were a tad pricey, and were hard to get because Charlie Milazzo didn't give a damn how many he made but was very very picky about them being made right. When the Jewell trigger came out many people who had been on Milazzo's waiting list just gave up and got a Jewell. Then some years later Geissele came on the scene and quickly came to dominate High Power service and match rifle competition. I would guess that most of the shooters who had Krieger-Milazzo triggers are still using them, though.
