Which 300 blackout upper?

I'm looking for a 300 blackout upper.I want a 16" barrel and I want the bcg to come with it. I've been looking at this one: AAC 16" .300 BLACKOUT Upper Receiver.
I don't want to spend over $1200 on the upper. Can anyone tell me what they think of the AAC upper i'm looking at or should I look at a different brand? Thanks.

Just shot my 9" AAC for the first time Friday. Love it. Noveske would be my second choice. I think you can now find a new AAC for under $1000. But that might have been a sale. Can't remember where. I swapped for mine.

The ACC is perfectly fine but now is a great time to pick up a Knight's 16" 300 BLK for a great price. A lot of people were buying the complete SR-30 rifle just to get the lower and you can find the unused take off upper for around $1000 if you look around. These are top notch uppers with a 5R Krieger Stainless Steel Barrel, Knight's E3 bolt, Knight URX 3.1 rail, and sights. Knight's SR-30 has been discontinued and the uppers will be hard to find pretty soon.

The AAC, KAC, and Noveske are proven products. It's hard to go wrong with any of those 3.

What is your intention for the 300 blk? If you plan to shoot suppressed granted you have a registered lower than I would look at the PWS MK109. I know you said you were looking for a 16 inch barrel so I was just tossing this out there as an option. I have some testing experience with the MK109 upper and it is a great system and a very quiet setup with the right suppressor and ammo. The shorter barrel will not get you the accuracy as the 16 but it will knock the dB rating. I know piston systems are not not very popular to many but I really like what PWS is doing with their long stroke piston systems. The carrier comes along with the MK109..

The AAC with the Knights Rail is a good choice, but I'd also be inclined to go with a Daniel Defense V5 or V7 upper.

I have a 9" AAC MPW and a 16" CMMG WASP upper that I put together. Both are flawless suppressed and unsuppressed. I agree with tom12.7, you can't go wrong with AAC, KAC, and Noveske. If you see a can in your future make sure that you read reviews and the upper has no issues with suppressed and unsuppressed with both supersonic and subsonic.

I remember a KAC rep saying that they just weren't cost effective to produce. I think it was the barrels they were using were just too expensive.
