plate lifters

there was a thread, and i can't seem to find it, where someone had done some foam lifters for the plates he put in his carrier. I picked up a set of large, needed XLs to fit my carrier better. I'd like to put a spacer on the bottom to get them up into position.

Until you get a proper fit either way a small rolled up section of closed cell foam such as a sleeping / PT mat works well. Roll it up, 100mph tape it and it will take up the space between the plate hanger and the bottom of the plate to keep them riding high enough in the carrier.
