Thank you for the reminder and the list. I'm always astounded by those who so willingly put their lives on the line to protect their brothers.

I may ride a little fast and someday it may catch up and bite me in the ass but maybe not if I give it just a little more gas.

This is a harsh reminder of the cost of freedom and a testament to the men who selflessly gave their lives to preserve that freedom.

Fair winds and following seas to our fallen warriors.

RIP Gents, you fought for each other and fell to save your brothers knowing the odds. A true warriors death. And you put those motherfukkers in the dirt, a spanking they haven't forgotten since.

While tragic when any of our guys go down, it's because of their sacrifice that SOPs were created saving who knows how many lives in the last 13 years of conflict.

I watched "Black Hawk Down" again today for what must be at least once a year since it came out. It still brings me to tears in several parts. It is by far my favorite movie.

Hard to believe it was over 20 years ago. Still remember watching the aftermath on the news.

Well the good news is I'm not nearly as old as I was feeling, the bad news is I'm so old I can no longer do simple math.

I too watch BHD tonight in commemoration. I was in the 4th grade, but remember seeing the coverage and the body of one of the Delta snipers being dragged and mutilated. Still remember my dad calling for Clinton's head.
