Several months ago I inquired about a new barrel, trigger, and handguard for a Bushmaster ORC. Now, I know most on this forum tend to :( on this brand, but I made the most out of what I had. Following LewP's advice I bought a BCM standard 20" upper with 15" Midwest handguard and BCM BCG and charging handle. I also bought a Leupold Mark 2 scope mount, found a Vortex Viper HD 4-16x44 on sale, as well as a Geissele SSA-E trigger. Replaced the stock and grip with a Magpul CTR and ERGO, respectively. I know it's not a custom build, but I certainly enjoyed learning about the AR platform and hope my girlfriend gets to kill her first deer with it.
