Looks like another major manufacturer of AR magazines is getting into the 7.62x39mm AR magazine game with D&H releasing a new 30rd magazine.

Anyone had the chance to see/use one yet?

Coming from D&H I'm sure they're pretty good. I been thinking about building a 7.62x39 pistol upper for my pistol lower.

As a point of reference, D&H's 6.8SPC mags are less than stellar.

Those strange "V: shaped stampings from the inside out?

Wonder if they are to reduce contact between the mag wall and the steel case to reduce friction?

I'm not loving that $25.00 each. Unless they turn out to be incredible I'll just stick with my ASC magazines.

I thought even their FAL mags were suspect?

Been watching a thread on another site were D&H has been laying out the design changes of the new D&H 7.62x39 AR magazines and if all is as stated these magazines just might be the answer to a common problem which haunted the 30rd 7.62x39 AR magazine for some time. This is what D&H posted,

"One of the big improvements comes from the curvature - it draws more on the AK platform than AR. Our proprietary patented follower is also optimized for use in the body. I'm sure down the road someone will attempt to use our follower in a competitor's mag body. I'd like to point out that the component isn't designed for use in magazines other than ours. Also; our body is much heavier gauge steel than our competition with a hostile environment finish."

Now if someone could just manufacture a 7.62x39 bolt that had the life span of it 5.56 counterpart then the 7.62x39mm AR could really take off.

I haven't even seen 7.62x39 components or completes for sale in a while so I am surprised this is coming out now

Maybe it's timed for the upcoming release of the 7.62x39 ARAK 21....

I had the chance the see a few of these magazines running out of several proven 7.62x39mm AR rifles and found that they are very lacking in Q/C and have issues with sitting to high in the magazine well causing contact with the bolt. Now word through the grape vine is that the manufacturer is developing a Gen 2 version correcting the issues seen by shooters. Personally I don't think they should have ever been released until all the bugs were worked out but I guess most manufacturers consider "US" the end user a Beta tester of sorts.
