For picatinny rails, these were my favorite mounts for Scout lights. I'm building another rifle and went out to buy one but I cannot find them anywhere (in black). Even the colored ones are scarce. What happened to them?

Rainier has green and two flavors of brown. Buy spray paint?

On a more serious note, call Jason and ask. I've always found him to be extremely responsive.

Jason's reply to my email:

They have not been discontinued. We are awaiting for the next batch to come back from hard coat. Rainier Arms has them in stock now.

For some reason Rainier's site is down right now?

Thanks for giving me the up and up on Jason. He responded pretty quickly and seems like a good dude.

Jason does indeed seem like great guy. I bought a GearSector mount for my M600U and I would buy from him again in a heartbeat. He seems very humble and kind.

Well if you're looking for a mount for a Scout light, Gear Sector has FDE ones in stock on their website.

It's no longer around. You need to go to ADM's site.

Ok. Thanks.

No problem. Hopefully the product you're after is still available, much of the old Gear Sector line is not.

Did ADM take over the operation or something?

ADM is the sole distributor for gear sector products. (https://soldiersystems.net/2017/10/18/american-defense-mfg-selected-as-sole-distributor-for-gear-sector-products/)

I was looking for their website the other day and couldn’t find it either. Have a legacy offset mount that needs to go on the EE

This is depressing. ADM has a few products, but the majority of the line up is gone. To this day, there is still very few decent offset light mounts for pic rail.

The offset scout mount is still around.

That's good, but it involves buying a $400 scout clone to use it. I'm used to cheap Solarforce 6P lights.

Other options.

That magpul one looks interesting, but how strong could it be (at $29)? The other options look good, but unlike the Gear Sector, the require the light to mount back too far for my tastes on a carbine pick rail. I like to push the light as far forward as possible due to how short the handguard is on an FSB carbine.
