How many times can one remove and reset rear sight for either tritium recharge or to another gun before its one time too many? I have shuffled Trijicon HD sights from one Glock to another and am concerned about affecting the tolerance. Incidentally the Glock OEM Steel rear sight has been moved several times and is still GTG ie. tight.

Depends on how much bang you out into its rear.

I imagine if you find a particular sight to be loose, you can always tap the male portion of the dovetail sight to "stretch" the metal out a little to give you the extra mass. I have also seen gunsmiths use red loctite within the dovetail to keep sights from coming loose.

The exact number will depend on the gun and the sight. Some sights are more hard than others.

On the Glocks I wouldn't worry a great deal about it.

The red locktite is a good way to help keep the sight there - unless you plan on playing musical sights.

Thank you. I imagine Blue Loctite for Tritium that needs replacing in a few years.
