I salute him for his time in NAM, but as DS, he sucked. Friggin wussy.

You guys really think his replacement is going to be any better? A SecDef under a libtard Democrat POTUS is likely not going to be anyone we'd like to see.

Pretty much what I am thinking; although, I am open to being surprised.

I didn't think Hagel was up to the job when he was nominated. But, he might have been fired because he stood up to F'n Obama, so where does that leave us? Waiting another 2 years for this jack-off in chief to be out of office is going to be painful. He can do a lot more damage in two years...especially since the Republicans are so weak and stupid. Could someone please clone Reagan?

I don't think anyone can do a good job under the current leadership.

More and more threats and less and less money to do anything about it. Making drastic cuts with still more to be made. All the while still appeasing the defense contractors that keep many of the congressmen elected. It is a no win job.

I hate to say this, but Obama continuing to do as he pleases (stupidly of course) may be the only way the Dems lose the WH in 2016. Lord knows what loser the GOP will put up against Hillary, so we need every edge we can get. :(

I am putting my monies on Michele Flournoy as the next DS.

That would fit the established pattern.

I think his hair is a little long for a military gig. I'd probably ask him to get it cut.

You know, set the example for the junior troops and all.

My 15 year old son is in JROTC and he was just getting used to referring to the Def. Sec. as the ''Honorable Chuck Hagel''. I just showed that picture above to my son and his response was: ''Dad, is that a Tranny?''

Bwhahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Why is it women in politics all seem to have fallen outta the ugly tree and then been savagely beaten with ugly sticks upon landing?

I hereby nominate Leroy Arthur Petry, United States Army (Retired) for Secretary of Defense.

If anyone gets out of line, he can just bitch-slap them with his right hand.

Oh, you didn't hear?

In a swipe at the resume of Hagel, who served as U.S. Army sergeant in Vietnam and received two Purple Hearts, the official added, “This is why you don’t send a sergeant to do a secretary’s job.”

That "official" can kiss my ass.

Sounds like he's the first one to get the slap.

Wonder how far the purge will go? He has 2 years to gut the DoD even further. Not good.

Flournoy was the hoe who attacked Romney during the 2012 presidential campaign for recognizing that the decision to withdraw troops from Iraq in 2011 was a “tragic” mistake.

“Governor Romney called the ending of the Iraq War and the bringing of our troops home ‘tragic,’ which is really hard to understand,” Flournoy recited for an Obama campaign video in October 2012. “He wanted to keep our troops there longer, tens of thousands of them.”

How could Hagel had been so naïve to think that things would end any other way for his tenure when he decided to take this (shit sandwich) job?

At least he at one time actually served. The replacement nominee is going to be 'interesting'...at the least....

Most of them retire to greener pastures where federal wage restrictions aren't a burden. A job like this has been reduced to being a pre req for some other private group where he can make 5x as much and get paid tens of thousands for some canned speech.

Not to mention the book deals and guest appearances on the 24hr news channels.
