Just wanted to give the heads up SSA is having a sale starting today and runnning through Dec. 1st. Get 3 boxes for the price of 2. They also have the 70gr Barnes TSX loads in stock! I picked up several boxes to try in my 1/7 Stag Model 3 plus package rifle.

I received my ammo from SSA yesterday. Upon inspection it's pretty impressive stuff. Brass is stamped SSA 5.56. Going to check zero through my carbine then put it on ice until my hog hunt in SC in March. I'm shooting 62gr Hornady TAP interested to see the difference on paper.

SSA currently is offering the 70gr TSX load for $17.95 a box regular $25.95. They also give a 10% first responder discount ON TOP OF THE SALE PRICE! I'm loading up!

That load, if I'm looking at the right one, lists a 70 gr SCHP but doesn't specifically call it a TSX bullet. Here - http://shop.ssarmory.com/ammunition/ssa-5-56mm-70-gr-ssa-schp.html

They DO list the 55 gr as a TSX. Here - http://shop.ssarmory.com/ammunition/5-56mm-55gr-barnes-tsx-20-count.html

Is that actually the TSX 70 gr or a different brand projo?

ETA - I emailed SSA asking that question. Just curious if anyone already had confirmed one way or the other.

It is the Barnes TSX. I have 4 boxes I ordered a couple weeks ago. It's stamped 70gr TSX on the box.

Glad SSA brought back 5.56 pressure 70gr TSX!:D
