Got one from Rainier's, didn't fit a gas keyed carrier, it's for piston guns, or one you want to modify the gas key on... Then I got the LMT enhanced carrier with the different cam pin slot. Fits that, but didn't rotate particularly well. My thought is to break in the LMT carrier and try again.

I ordered the kit with the modified Gas key

Just guessing maybe polish your carrier cam insert area a tad.......will smooth it up for rotation

From what I have read its a gimmick. USGI does just fine even with the wear.

I kinda thinking that way also

I am going to give it a shot......I have a extra bolt and carrier group I am screwing with......

So far......

Sharps Relible Bolt
5 coil Extractor with Black inset
Titamiun firing Pin
McFarland 1 pcs gas ring
And just ordered the roller Cam pin with modified gas key

Can you tell a difference with the 3 hole LMT enhanced Carrier

Why the "go fast" firing pin?

Decreased the drop time after pulling trigger

Decreased the drop time after pulling trigger

Also less mass = less force striking the primer...

Decreased the drop time after pulling trigger

Can this decreased lock time be measured?

I've also seen them wear at the FP nose and create a burr which then pierces primers, ruins bolts (from primer flow) and often makes the rifle slam fire...

Faster lock time is best accomplished with a faster trigger like a Geissele DMR hi-speed.

I am using a SSA E trigger from Geissele

But I will monitor the Firing Pin for wear, so far so good..........I still have my Colt Firing Pin as back up

I have not yet had the opportunity to shoot it enough to give even an opinionated answer. In other words I can't see a difference yet.

It suppose lower port pressure .........that might be my next purchase.

Because the pin was too tight the bolt/carrier weren't cycling properly and therefore couldn't make a judgement on function. Maybe Friday.
