J&G sales has some ammo for sale that is M-193 ammo that is made by a sub contractor. Here is the provided link and my question is: Is this regular M193 ammo or something different. I am looking to get around 500 maybe more and dont want to get 1990 surplus if you know what I mean. Has anyone here bought any of this?

If it's this stuff, it was made to be M193 but for whatever reason didn't pass QC inspection for it to be blessed as military grade ammo.

In all reality it should be good stuff, for plinking and stashing purposes.

I have seen some IGMAN 5.56 that is US spec. Has anyone shot any of that? Says that it is just a subcontractor.

I wouldn't take Igman for FREE!

I don't know what that J&G stuff is.

Well that answers that question. It is getting hard to source XM193. I think I have really only come up with 2 vendors.

Send them an email to answer your specific questions. I'd drive em nuts with stuff they may or may not have an answer for, IE, who made it, specs, date of manufacture, M193 vs XM193, etc... There a a few places that advertise Privi 55 grain M193, but leave off the Privi name, but it still shoots pretty good. M193 is good plinking/training ammo but damn its high coin. For the money, I wish it was better quality.
