Buffer

I've got a 14.5 carbine with an H buffer. Is this considered optimal? What are the benefits are having an H2 or H3 buffer?

There is no need to start a new thread for every question. Buffer and spring question could have been combined. The M4 carbine is fine with an H and it was also run with the heavier ones, although I can't say there is a need to do so.
