What "TYPE" of iron sight configuration seems to be the preferred and why when using an RMR on a pistol?

For example:

Does a Tritium front sight compete with the RMR dot at night?

Does a FO front sight compete with the RMR dot at day?

I am planning on getting an RMR07 red 6.5MOA and using suppressor sights unless someone has a better idea...

Thanks

Personally with a quality dot like the RMR I view the irons as backup sighting, just like on a carbine. And for that reason prefer them to be as low vis as possible to not interfere with the sight picture. Fiber optic would definitely be a destraction, as would be anything on the rear sight. I've heard some valid arguments for a tritium front on an dot equipped pistol (mostly helping index the pistol in low light), but it's not something I've ever messed with. If you were to go that route I would black out the tritium with a Sharpie to not clutter up the daytime sight picture.
