View Full Version : Carbon entering your airways: help avoid this
So was doing some shooting with my midlength, and I noticed that carbon was going to my nostrils when shooting nose-to-charging handle.
Anyone else experience this?
How do you avoid this?

Good info! I'd heard of the "epoxy" method before, but hadn't seen anything about it.
It seems like the guy used a lot of RTV to seal the CH- I wonder if a smaller bead just below the lip of the upper would be enough.

Awesome information. Will look for this, and try it out, after I clean my rifle.
Thanks
You should try shooting it with suppressor. :0)

I detect sarcasm :)
Lol nah...
AR's are notorious for this. I am not sure there is a remedy for this :0)

Haha...all my times in the Corp, I've never experience it till yesterday.
I'm just glad I didn't throw away that Netty Pot (http://youtu.be/ofUvgRTOGVY) to use Saline to flush all that carbon.
