Strange 205MAR Primer Lot... Should be interesting to see if it changes anything.

I just went though the 10,000 lot I had of Federal 205MAR Primers, so I purchased another 10,000.

They are completely different...

The primer compound has taken a different hue, the anvil is now covered in some of the compound(like most other federal primers)

Old on the left new on the right.

Have to shoot them and see if there's any difference in velocity, group size, SDs, etc.

Yep, going to load some up this week and run a test. Kind of a bummer since I just finalized my Mod1 clone.

Warning, they are running +20 FPS more!

Ran two control groups of 25 rounds, on average they are running +20 FPS

Going to call Federal on Monday to ask WTF...
