I have an ak for range purposes. I want to mount my PA micro dot so I get some kind of co-witness(not picky), and I'd prefer it behind the rear sight, but I don't want to pay more for the mount than the sight.

If I could create my own, it would be an RS regulate gen 1 with a screw attach to reduce price since I don't need return zero qd.

I see no other mounts that I can direct attach a micro dot to behind the rear sights, am I missing something? It looks like ultimak is my best option. I don't want excessive stuff like a tri-rail(ridiculous), and I want it at least half solid.

Thanks guys.

Look at Attero.

Does the rifle have a side rail?

Does the rifle have a side rail?

Yes. I prefer to use it. A bp02 with direct micro mount would be good, but all I see is rail which is a little high.

Attero will let you direct mount on the RSB. Has an integrated rear sight right in front of the optic.

Not exactly bombproof, but it allows cowitness, is the same price as the optic, and they supposedly hold up well enough for a range rifle. I've never used it.

Maybe find one of these used on ebay?

There's one for an RMR on ebay for $60.
