Any Zev Glock owners? Price check and questions

I'm in the market for a Glock 17. I planned on just getting a new factory one, but now I'm thinking about a custom. I found a used Zev Tier 2 not far from me. Seems to be in good shape. What is a fair price for a used one? They seem pretty hard to come by. Are they worth the price, or should I just get a stock 17? If I get a new one I'll probably at minimun want to do sights, some trigger work, and some stippling, which the Zev obviously has done already.

What are your intended uses? Range toy, competition, carry, HD?

Would be for the range, maybe some light competition, and maybe the occasional class. I think I might hold off on it for now though, just ordered a new Gen 4 17 from my local dealer.

Anyone? Does 1k seem reasonable for a used Tier 2? I'm going to try and look at it tomorrow.

I don't think the features you get in a Zev are worth the price and I am all for modifications by the way. You could instead buy a G34, match barrel, sights of your choice, and go from there.

Worth noting is that the Zev comes stippled so you are not able to shoot USPSA production with it.
