DD Lite 12 to SLiM 12

Looking at pictures it looks like they use the same attachment. Would be possible to just undo the 4 bolts on the Lite and install the SLiM without doing anything else?

I believe the newer Lite and M4 rail use the same bolt up system as the SLiM (4 bolts as opposed to 6). They all use the same barrel nut so in a worst case all you would need to do is loosen the barrel nut, pull the barrel from the receiver and swap bolt up plates. I'm sure Joe Marler with DD (Marler5811 here on M4C) would be happy to help and would be a lot more knowledgeable than me.

It was mentioned in the original thread that they use the same backing plate and barrel nut. Should be a simple swap. The new rail does feel really nice. I was looking at a V11 a few weeks ago.

Anyone who has a Lite Rail III (DDM4 Rail) can just unbolt the rail and install the SLiM without replacing the barrel nut and bolt up plate. If you have a Lite Rail II, the bolt up plate will have to be replaced.
