I have a set of rims and tires worth about $400 I wanted to trade for firearms. Anyway I got 2 offers one for a Remington 710 30.06 one for a Remington 783 .270 with cheap center point scope. I read some reviews and they both seem to have problems. I've had a 700 before and it was a 1moa rifle
I don't hunt my question is are either one of these worth a damn? I trust you guys
Don't trade, look for something better unless you are getting both and can flip them quickly-for more than 400

No. Two different sellers
Short answer no. I don't think either rifle would be worth $400 new, let alone used.

I didn't think so but not too familiar with bolt rifles besides the 700.
I wouldn't do it, too many better options out there. I'd sell the wheels or look for a better trade.
710s routinely go for $250 or less here. Not sure about the other. I'd pass.

Pretty good consensus that I shouldn't trade for one of those.
Thanks
The 710 was a steaming pile and the 783 doesn't look much better. I wouldn't be interested in either at any price and $400 is definitely above value. I actually held the stock/barrel of a brand new 710 while another guy pulled on the bolt handle just to open the action.

I picked up a 783 in .308 from my local Walmart earlier this year as it was only $289. It has been a fun plinking gun.

I did the rattle can paint job on it.

The rings are from Remington and the scope is the MidwayUSA Weaver Grand Slam 3-10x40. The whole setup was less than $700 and like I said is a nice plinker. I just recently purchased a Tikka T3 CTR in .260 Remington and that kicks ass. You may want to check out that rifle. They have it in .308 as well.
